Fairvue Homeowners Social Events & Clubs

Fairvue and Foxland Residents can choose from a variety of social events and clubs.  Below is the 2010 events and clubs planned so far for this year.  Check back as more events and clubs will be added.

The events and clubs provide an opportunity to meet your neighbors and participate in activities that will enhance your lifestyle. You do not need to have a social or golf membership to participate in any of the activities or events. It is open to all residents of Fairvue/Foxland.

The Social Committee organizes two events per year for all residents. These events have been very successful and have enabled people to meet their neighbors while enjoying a great party.

FAIRVUE IN-HOME DINING CLUB

In-Home Dining is a great way to socialize with your neighbors while enjoying delicious food and drinks. The dinners will be held every other month beginning January, on the 3 rd Saturday of the month at 6:30pm.

The 2010 dates for the dining club are as follows: January 16th, March 20th, May 15th, July 17th, September 18th, and November 20th. Mark the dates on your calendars! The theme this year will be Dining Around the World.
Each couple or single brings a dish requested by that month's host. They also take a turn hosting the group once every couple of years.

LADIES MORNING BOOK CLUB

Join other ladies to discuss and analyze a book that has been chosen for the month.
There is currently one group that meets monthly. Each member takes a turn hosting the meeting and providing refreshments. The hostess chooses the book selection for the month.

We are in the process of forming another Book Club at this time. The new group will decide the dates and times that are best for them. This group could meet in the morning or evening.

BOATING CLUB

Even though there isn't a Fairvue/Foxland Marina yet, you may be looking for others to share an afternoon of cruising, water skiing, tubing, or fishing on Old Hickory Lake.

You may be interested in a cruise to Cherokee Steak House for dinner, or enjoy a fall foliage trip up river to view the beautiful scenery!

Join us for fun in the sun and relaxation on the lake!!!!

LADIES MORNING BIBLE STUDY

There are so many commitments competing for our time such as work, family, volunteering, even church. If you are looking to share in a non-denominational Christian bible study with other ladies, maybe this is it.

Beginners through lifelong believers are welcomed.

There are currently two groups meeting every other Wednesday morning at 10:00a.m.

LADIES EVENING BUNCO

Bunco is a fun, no skill required, dice game. Join 11 others at a different home each month.

You are asked to host bunco one month a year. The hostess contacts participants, provides the tables, dice, score sheets, light snacks, and drinks.

Sign-up as a substitute if you are unable to host and if a regular cannot make it you will be called to fill in.

There are some great stories to tell about those bunco evenings!!! Come join us.

MEN'S POKER NIGHT

Please join other men in the neighborhood for an evening of poker and spirits. The group meets monthly, taking turns hosting the evening. Each host provides light snacks.

PLANTATION KIDS

NEWBORN TO PRE-SCHOOL AGE

Stroller walks through Fairvue, a playgroup, a seasonal theme party, craft day and parent/child outings might be some of the fun you will plan or participate in with other Fairvue/Foxland families.

Dates, locations, and specific events will be established as soon as this newly formed activity gets under way.

If you have a child/children/grandchild in these age groups, please join the Plantation Kids for fun get-togethers and activities.

COUPLES EVENING BRIDGE

Join other Fairvue twosomes for an evening of bridge at a neighbor's or your own home. Couples will take turns hosting each month.

We currently have one group that is meeting monthly. Other groups may be formed if there is enough interest.

Prior experience in bridge is recommended.
