1832 - The Beginning of Fairvue Plantation
Isaac Franklin established the Fairvue estate, constructing a grand Greek Revival mansion on more than 2,000 acres overlooking the Cumberland River. The property quickly became one of Middle Tennessee's most prominent country estates.

1954 - Old Hickory Lake is Created
The completion of Old Hickory Dam transformed the Cumberland River into Old Hickory Lake, giving Fairvue valuable waterfront property and introducing a new era of boating, fishing, and lakeside recreation. Shown above is the Cumberland prior to dam construction.
Late 1800s - Thoroughbred Legacy
Under Charles Reed's ownership, Fairvue gained national recognition as one of Tennessee's premier thoroughbred horse breeding farms, earning a reputation for excellence in equestrian circles. Shown are mare barns still found on property.Â
Early 2000s - A New Vision Takes Hold
The historic estate was redeveloped into a master-planned luxury golf community, blending championship golf, waterfront living, and elegant residential neighborhoods while preserving the property's historic character.
1929 - Grasslands Hunt & Racing Club
Fairvue became home to the Grasslands Hunt & Racing Club, hosting fox hunts and nationally recognized steeplechase events that attracted prominent families and equestrian enthusiasts from across the country.
